Pros

- Benefits are good and unique - Good PTO to start (22 days + 2 flex holidays, 9 holidays) - Wellness benefit and commenting benefit (up to $1,700 per year) are great. - Hybrid work schedule (2 in-office days, for now) - Work is fulfilling and very different than other companies - If you have the skillset, they will let you work across teams - the people are incredibly dynamic

Cons

- Owned by private equity - questionable management decisions from Trilon C Suite that filter down to Alta - Morale is a little low at times - Pushing RTO aggressively - too rigid with advancement opportunities - pay is below industry average, particularly in southeast - flexibility that managers had is going away with regard to work schedules and remote/hybrid

Pros

Beautiful expensive view perfect for commuting from your mansion on your e-bike to downtown on a safe secure bikeway.

Cons

Culture of retaliation, bullying, and overt normativity, blatant and subtle racism. It’s obvious the partners and principals and project managers only work on projects that make their homes or kid’s schools or neighborhoods increase in property values while being overtly prejudice towards poor and racially marginalized communities. If you’re a young person looking for something meaningful, go anywhere else. This company is about making a tiny amount of the already rich people in already rich neighborhoods bike faster on their e bikes, not solve complex problems of active transportation safety and equity for poor or rural or diverse communities. Menlo Park and Lake Oswego and Edina have amazing infrastructure because that’s where the decision makers live, send their kids to school, and ensure public resources and monies ear marketed for equity goals receive first priority and highest quality of service.
