Pros

Convience, hours, benefits, community involvement.

Cons

training was over crowded, but good - the systems kept messing up, over 45 people in my training class, favorites are played once you get out on the floor,

Pros

Bosses can be flexible about the time a worker leaves. During the months surrounding Christmas, the option for overtime becomes common The company is growing in leaps and bounds but the outlook for a few major clients of the fulfillment center is not great

Cons

Work in the fulfillment center is almost universally hated by workers, the question "are you having fun yet" is sarcastically asked almost once a day, depending on location. Expect mind numbing unfulfilling work even after promotions. Most new hires (maybe 2/3rds) end up fired after a few weeks because they do not hit company efficiency standards. Only experienced workers can expect to work a full 40 hours a week although that changes with season. Depending on the department, management ranges from incompetent but well-meaning to competent but uninvolved. Most new hires for Alta Resources- especially entry level- are considered temp seasonal and do not receive benefits (health/ 401k) for the first 9 months or year of employment.

Pros

The building was recently acquired and all facilities and equipment were new. Location is very central with plenty of parking. Admin and support staff helpful.

Cons

The training was not well planned and very poorly presented Instructor used "you guys" over 100 times in one day!!! Facility was COLD - had to wear actual socks and sweater. Spanish speaking employees received a 50 cent an hour bonus. Supervisors had no training whatsoever on the systems beyond that given to new employees. Conflicting information given to new hires. Salary low for work expected.
