      Pros

      For the most part, I did enjoy working at Alta Resources. I made a lot of great friends and truly got along with my co-workers, aside from a few bad seeds. Sadly these people were cancerous and made the work environment intolerable. I would say the pros out-weigh the cons,

      Cons

      Multiple HR issues that go unaddressed, such as drugs and harassment. Everything seems to get swept under the rug or "put to investigation" with no real result. It is clear that not everyone is on the same playing field. Poor salary for time put in, EXTREMELY slow accrual of benefits--thankfully I can take my license elsewhere and make triple the money.

      Met some nice people that sat next to me. Very encouraging while the management was not.

      Cons

      Extremely negative environment. There is a lot of encouragement while in training but once you are on your own, you are on your own.

      Pros

      Location. The company was wonderful 10 years ago. It had great people and great culture. I enjoy my job. The client program I am on is good.

      Cons

      In an attempt to double company revenue upper management is spreading middle management too thin, they wont replace many positions when people leave, instead they spread the additional work load to those remaining. When they do hire, they don't want to pay anyone a decent wage. Health insurance rates go up 20-30% a year and they don't give more than a 1-2% raise so you paycheck goes down the longer you work there. They've taken away some of the simple luxuries like silverware, cups plates, garbage cans, dish soap, etc. to save money.
