Pros

there is an on-site cafeteria which is ok. get to work have breakfast. first 1/2 hour of day spent in the cafeteria.

Cons

the entire plant smells like smoke and tobacco. sometimes this isn't tht bad, but depending on the favor of that day it can be gag-inducing

Pros

- Challenging industry to work and learn in - Higher compensation (to persuade people to work in Tobacco) and good benefits such as 15% deferred profit sharing, medical and tuition coverage

Cons

- "Deep Southern" mentality and very 1950's culture - Dying industry (growth is with Philip Morris International, not Altria) - Lack of innovation (decades of a one product industry and dependency on Marlboro) - Very political and non-collaborative work environment - Aging workforce with too many SVPs and middle-managers (upside-down triangle)
