Pros

- Good work/life balance - Team mates are nice - Super diverse, not a full indian company - Decent benefits

Cons

- They recently announced RTO, with at least 50% of their employees living outside of CA. - Codebase is a bit chaotic - Long-tenured employees can occasionally serve as gatekeepers - They try to be agile but there's lack of organization and tasks are not always completed on time.

Lack of empathy or morals

Pros

Interesting and innovative product, working with smart and dedicated people

Cons

RTO is an absolute joke. How do you hire more than half of your staff across the US, work them to the bone the past 6-8 months, and then randomly come up with RTO? Really shows how much this company actually cares for its employees who stuck around during the roughest times trying to advance the company (with no promotions or raises) and then this is how we are rewarded? This very much shows the morales of the company to its core. Work your workers to the bone to build up the company and then pretty much let half the staff go. Good job Altruist, you’ve shown your true colors

Pros

Product that is going to redefine the industry in the next decade . Smart and kind team members. I went to the Culver office recently for the first time for an onsite and I am excited to return and spend more time with my colleagues. I didn't realize how much I missed interacting with my team in person.

Cons

Hybrid work is going to be painful for me but I have decided to move as I think Altruist has a great future and I want to be a part of it.
