Friendly Environment in which to grow
Pros
People - they are all friendly and approachable. Open door policy - all the SLT are approachable and give up their time for you to talk to. Speaking up policy - The business is open to allowing you to be heard and have your opinion on things you might see not working well. Modern office and facilities in the London Office and the Nottingham Office are also moving to brand new offices which they deserve, This will hopefully provide a better working environment from them to grow in.
Cons
Too many meetings, too many fingers in too many pies. definitely a place they could focus on and get the balance right. There seems to be a committee for each function of the business. if this was improved they might see more efficiencies in the output of the hard work that goes into making the business rock. Hot Desks, each desk is treated as a hot desk, and combined with the clear desk policy gives you a cold office which is odd for a company that boasts a family network, but doesn't allow you to have your own desk and give you that feeling of belonging. This also makes working collaboratively tricky when sometimes your own colleagues aren't sitting within their own team. US owned firm so some overarching policies can seem clunky as not always in tune with the local countries legislation. Another con is the London HQ doesn't have enough toilets. 3rd floor had approx 100 employees and only 5 toilets for each gender.
