Pros

Locally owned. Owner onsight. Wide variety of insurances accepted.

Cons

High school atmosphere. The Director and owner play into it. They take. 2 hour lunches with the in crowd, while the others are left to pick up the slack. Lots of gossip and HR participates in the gossip as well. Management allows folks to wander all day and gossip, and expects others to help when they get behind.

Pros

Small business which allows you to walk into the owners office and pitch an idea. Usually open to new ideas. Implementing is another story. Great job if you want to learn home health without the pressure of a sales quota.

Cons

There's an in crowd and an out crowd. If you're in the in crowd things will be smooth. Find yourself on the outside, you typically won't last long either by choice or by force. Ability to adapt to change is quite slow considering the size of the business. Competition will soon change the way they do business. No incentive to work hard. Majority of the people take advantage of the owners good heart and do half a job. Additionally in the sales department, there is no incentive to bring in business. Salaries are behind market and the owner will never offer commission.
