Pros

Potential for decent earnings if support becomes more comprehensive and problems are addressed.

Cons

1) DC is not ready for this. Not enough vests. Docking was outside, supposed to get someone to confirm scanned items as accurate. Was told to scan in two separate large groups, only one stayed in the app. Somehow this was my fault. Staging is nonexistent, so packages have no order as it pertains to the order the app will tell you to deliver. Your scan and load time is included in the time block, and can take some time if you have 50+ packages to scan, attempt to organize, and load. This end is VERY disorganized, there is no helpful person to check in with inside, we loaded outside on the docks for the semi trucks. 2) The app itself randomly loses gps and sends you in circles. Since I drive for Lyft, I'm quite adept at navigating via gps, so it wasn't an operator error. It also sends you via line of sight distance, so for example, it sent me to an apt complex, then to a different one, then BACK to the one I'd left. No adjustment is made for apartment complexes and business parks, where accessibility can be an issue, addresses are often not clearly marked, and parking can be a nice hike from your destination. 3) The time overall is unrealistic. The four hours turns into 3-3.5 very fast when you deal with the staging and DC issues. at approximately 48 packages, that's 16 per hour. 60/16 gives approximately 3.8 minutes per package, including drive time, finding the package (not easy when there's no organization in staging), racing to the door, knocking or ringing the bell, delivering or placing the package, and racing back to head to your next destination. I had one route that was easily doable, another that was a disaster, so there's no consistency. 4) I'm going to try again at some point and see if it's improved. A couple of issues I had, such as not being able to mark being available with time between blocks, and no odd numbered start or end times, seems to be changing. When I signed up, the time available had to be one large block with the start and end time even numbers, ie, 8am-2pm. So if you're available say, 9am til noon, and then 2pm til 7pm, you're stuck with picking one time and only even numbers, 2pm-6pm. Even though my first block started at 930 am.

Pros

Flexible independent contractor work, and easy way to make extra money.

Cons

Tips are not receive, no longer offered blocks regularly, recently decreased length of blocks yet assigning more packages, no compensation for overtime, deliver driver falsely blamed for missing pakages at time. In the warehouse workers are not helpful and Flex drivers only have a badge to identify themselves. Customer service isnt always helpful. App is not always accurate and drains your battery.

Pros

The hourly pay is very good, minimum you can make is $18 and that number can go up to $27 or more depending on the tips you get. I have worked for Flex for 2 weeks now and most of the time, you have to look for the shifts. Amazon only assigns you like 1 reserved shift for the week and the rest is just waiting for an offer to pop up. It is a waiting game but throughout the day, you get many open shifts that appear. The shifts are often completed earlier than the time alloted and I have not had any problems with running over the time limit. I am working for Flex in the Brooklyn region, New York. A lot of bad reviews from other people about overload of deliveries but I guess that depends on your region. So far, I have no had any major issues with Amazon flex and I have made some good money for little effort. I recommend this as a part time job along with your full time to make the best out of it. The company just recently started so it does have it's problems but it will expand and get better over time. You can't expect less from Amazon!

Cons

One con would be allotting more reserved shifts to drivers throughout the week. You have to go out of your way to get any shifts you want.
