Pros

Otherwise it's a decent company to work at

Cons

Lied about the job details during the hiring process. Turned down other offers and moved halfway across the country to find out that it's a different job than what they told me. My interests/skills were largely irrelevant for the positions meaning I'm unprepared and essentially wasting time with regards to my career.

Pros

you get a lot of money, and stock prices are trending up.

Cons

no work life balance. there are a lot of screamer managers in seattle. little regard for employees...you are just a tool. if you dont exactly fit, then they will cast you aside and hire someone else.

Pros

Amazon has a fair compensation policy (expect a a cliff at year 4) and the company culture is treated seriously throughout the company.

Cons

The company has become extremely top-down and process heavy across the board. Very hard to get anything done with the amount of red tape and politics in place. Your success largely depends on the impact of the projects you'll be able to deliver, which is good in theory, except that the ability to grab high-impact project is out of your control. Deadlines are top-down and will drive you to the ground.
