Pros

Rank and yank. Appreciate the quick removal of all the bad hires. Amazon has increasing difficulty on find good talent so they just throw in.

Cons

Get ready to work. Constant schedule changes. Ramping up headcount, ramping down headcount (layoffs). People and whole buildings will spring up and disappear in a matter of weeks. You and your operations partners are at the mercy of the "VOA" board. It's a public use board where associates can write literally anything. Including how much they hate amazon, their manager, want a union, etc. They almost never attack HR because in HR you learn to just bend the rules constantly. So get ready for a line of liars at your desk. Your door desk, LOL. No offices in sight. Yup, you work amongst the loud music, conveyors, and associates barking orders to eachother. How wonderful.
