Pros

Amegy isn't a bad place work. Most of the people are great. Employee's are empowered to help customers. I feel they are supportive of a work life balance.

Cons

The benefits aren't that attractive. Negotiate the highest salary you can upon being hired because raises are very small and there is no room to negotiate once employed. Only high deductible medical insurance is available. Very rarely do they promote from within.

North area Houston. Extensive training for position empowerment. Encouraged career growth.

Cons

Lost sight of what made them the "A Bank", great customer service and focused on the bottom line. Unfortunately it happens with growth.

Great work life balance of you can afford it. Manager is rarely in the office which is beneficial but at times detrimental to accomplishing tasks.

Cons

Insurance is expensive. Raises are little. There is a lack of opportunity although turnover has been high. No opportunity to advance career.
