Pros

- Above average salaries for the South Florida market - Great Work-Life balance - There are areas with great sense of cooperation and teamwork - Comfortable Facilities

Cons

Since the bank became public, the communication between Upper Management and the front lines disappeared. There are no clarity on the objectives and the direction for the bank. The only focus is to improve the metrics to get the stock price up and get the upper management and investors wealthier. The bank has lost its north, does not have a clear identity on what market to tackle and the people who makes things work are not receiving the deserved attention. The great work environment that existed was demolished by the series of areas being outsourced to improve ratios, thus creating fear, distrust, and uncertainty among employees. One of these outsourcings was poorly handled. There was no communication whatsoever with the affected employees who were rebadged to another company. These employees did not have enough time to digest what was going on and had to accept an employment offer in mere 4 days after being notified, or else we will be terminated few weeks later (since the positions will belong to the other company). This upsetting event can be compared to cattle trading among farmers. We did not have the time to perform due diligence, and the whole transaction was sold as if it was the best thing that happened to us.

Pros

Decent work life balance. Ability to help shape the bank as it redevelops. Decent salary (although changes are coming)

Cons

The HR department staff are generally rude and condescending towards employees. Its truly amazing how they can get away with speaking to staff in such a way. The health plans are the most horrible plans i've ever seen in my career. The plans cover very little and every year get worse. Prescriptions get removed from the plan year after year. Heres an idea, have more plan options that cover more. It isn't always about being the cheapest plan, how about a plan that actually provides a benefit? Many staff would gladly pay more if the plan covered more. But what do they do? Come out with an even cheaper plan? You produce an employee survey but don't share the results with the staff? There have been huge layoffs, you go into work scared every day. The senior executive never are seen. How about a management team that interacts with the staff? I've never seen the CEO walk the halls and engage with the staff. Or any of the executive staff.

Pros

The ONLY pro is the Salary

Cons

Too many cons to write. They don't care about you, they ask and ask for production and numbers without even care about your health. I have know a few employees who had a heart attack because the level of stress and they don't care. Why u think is so many job openings? So many employees are quitting almost every week. Upper management don't care .
