Pros

Coming in to work knowing that the workload was heavy, but also knowing that the staff was ready for the challenge.

Cons

Coming in that morning in the beginning of July; preparing yourself for our monthly meeting, and being told that the plant was closing down.

Pros

Required individual sales quotas easily met, decent commission in the high traffic stores, no previous experience required, on the job training, generous paid time off for full-time employees.

Cons

Some GM's are hired in with no previous experience in optical or retail management, extremely frustrating to work for a manager that doesn't have a clue how to lead a team. Low hourly pay.

Pros

Good District Manager Decent health insurance

Cons

As a store manager I felt like I had a ton of responsibility and very little control how I ran the store. The business model dictates that you jam every possible appointment in, with little regard for managing customer flow, or maintaining customer service. There was an incentive program but the way the goals were set, it was very difficult to attain. As a salaried person, you end up working a lot of hours.
