Pros

Best people at AA in the airline world. Employees are STRONG.

Cons

AA/AMR Management have always been arrogant, overreaching, and 1999 they went to far with Reno AIr buyout breaking the APA pilot contract outright. Crandall was a jerk but could be dealt with at negotiating table, every level of exec management post 1998 was an embarrassment and flew the airline into the ground. The industry and economic climate cannot be blamed. Accountants and investment bankers make poor airline LEADERS. None of AMR management is capable of leading. APA Union is too close to AMR, in Bankruptcy APA is metastasizing into a real advocate but it may be too late.

Cons

Very low pay for such a physical job. Ramp personnel had a lot of injuries that can effect you for the rest of your life.
