Pros

If you want the security and benifits of a government like job then this is the place to be. While meritocracy may not always be rewarded mediocracy is not always punished either. In the end things balance out.

Cons

Utilities are heavily regulated by the government. Dont expect the company to make a killing in profits. You are not expected to work yourself to death and that is reflected in your paycheck.
