Work-life balance was awful, with many agents that wished to do well in the business up before the sun and back home around midnight. On top of that, there is no hourly rate and the job is strictly commission. Leads were recycled and usually quite old, at times with the client or customer deceased for years. Most fresh leads were picked through by management and the remainder were given to new agents. Bonus systems were structured with a trickle down effect, where the higher ups gained the most off of the labor of newer agents. It was just awful. Much of my issue was with the Arlington office and it's management. If you hear the name Bob Wingate, run away. I would rather work two or three jobs where I know my work is paid for and appreciated as opposed to selling life insurance products that are easily blown out of the water by various other insurance companies.
