Everything about this job is shady!

Pros

The only reason I would use this space is if I ran out of space in the cons section!

Cons

Everything there is shady! They give you the information you want to hear, but don't tell you all the tough things. For example, they told me there was no cold calling, the told me I could work outside of London. After I passed my LLQP, I found out that I had to drive to London twice a week to cold call for 9 hours (unpaid btw). The leads are so old and upper management picks out the good ones. I probably spent about $800 before I quit trying to make it happen. Ill also mention that training is not training, and its very useless! If you want to work 60 hours a week and after all is said and done, earn about minimum wage or less, go apply. They are guaranteed to hire you.

Pros

May be good earning potential for 1% people

Cons

a lot, such as no income until your first sell, your vehicle depreciation cost as you need to drive crazy all day, telling lies etc This is a 100% commission based door to door sales job. Their product is supplementary life insurance. AIL is a multi-level marketing company where managers get commission on their recruits. However, they mislead people by advertising some management positions and eye catchy remuneration packages. Although, it's an insurance company, but they never acknowledge it upfront while approaching to people. They just make some story for example, they work with the unions or they work with someone's relatives/friends union and your $2000 AD&D certificate has been issued which is only valid for a year. AIL claims to work with police association on amber alert, but this is also shady. They will get appointment to set up child safe ID kit which is not necessary as it's plain & simple, but they make it very crucial and after that, they eventually will going to sell their so called life insurance policies. There is no income until you sell a insurance. But, you need to put a lot of your hard earned money getting your licenses, gas bill and so on. They don't care about this, all they do is to entice you about lot of earning opportunities which I believe 1% people will make at the end of the day with their extra-ordinary selling powers. AIL always talks about money and money in their employee meetings/conferences as if they were just bunch of money suckers. They do claim that they help protect families, but in reality, they want money in their pocket. They say pretty big words in regard what they actually do. In a nutshell, they do not have vivid business ethics.

Pros

The other agent were cool and family like, most of them are still friends now

Cons

No flexibility, they tell you , you are independent, but they control your schedule they say you can have your own hours, you wont, they suggest hours and want you to use these hours they want you to work 7 days a week, 24h a day The products are sold like in the way of a scam than real insurance, in Quebec the script was 45 minutes long and was playing a lot with emotions The lead are bogus and obtained in a grey way, lot of lead are taken by people referring friends or family because they think they are giving them free stuffs The environment of work is not good, there none Don't try to improve anything they will shut you down Money looks good, but when you calculate money earned and add your expenses, you better work at the convenience store. It is no joke,
