Pros
There could be a pro here if you just graduated college and you had zero idea of what good pay is since you use your own car, pay for your gas, hotel and everything else with no reimbursement. Best thing about this job is if you did it right after college is that they train you to work ridiculously long hours, so that would be a huge positive to teach you how to work hard for the next REAL job that you start after them
Cons
They don't pay you during training. I left when I saw the person that was getting trained for three weeks before me got a $27 check. They told me numerous times how well you get paid, but I don't think they consider all of their expenses. They tell you they work with Unions, but that is a total lie to get you in the door since you cold/warm call people and lie to them to get your foot in the door. The phone call script is meant for you to not tell people that you are a life insurance salesman. The biggest downside to the job is that you work 6 10 hour days at least when you count the calling and you mostly work way out of state. Like I said, it wouldn't be a bad job right out of college if you moved right back into your parents place and they are helping you with your bills and rent. Plus it would be a great job to show you how much greener it is on the other side once you left.
