Pros
The money goes without saying.... I started with no background in insurance and my first year made almost 100K. I love our market niche and that we don't have to cold call. Having a product that helps people in their darkest hour is easy to sell when you believe in it. As a manager I love training and watching people's success. I've been with AIL for 7.5 years and it's the most rewarding career I've ever had. Advancement opportunity is amazing.
Cons
To be successful you have to prepared to work HARD. We don't punch a clock or look to someone else to do our job. This is on YOU and for some people they can't handle the responsibility. I love the hours but for some 1-9 doesn't work. Making over 100K per year and getting promoted isn't something any company is going to just hand over... You work for every penny!! Sales is up and down and you'll have to be able to stay level headed.
