Pros

Scripted Sales Pitch, Loaned Commission Only! High Energy, Perceived Positivity, Psychologically Scripted Sales Pitch Makes For Easy Sales To Uneducated Low Income Leads.

Cons

Commission only job! Commission is loaned to you, if you leave the company you will OWE them money from loaned commission if your sale cancels the policy! This company is very psychological. From hiring to office meetings to the 40 page scripted sales pitch required to memorize verbatim to the responses to client, everything is psychological and a bit confusing to make it seem better than it is. Be prepared to put 5k-10k miles on your personal vehicle a month. Set 12 appointments every other day during a 12 hour workday. That's an hour per appointment and full scripted sales pitches normally takes an hour and a half, making the sale takes up to 3 hours. You are still required to see all 12 appointments that day and your manager will have you knocking on doors for appointments set at 1:00pm at midnight! The days you aren't out trying to sell you are required to be in the office making 100's of phone calls trying to set 12 appointments for the next day. Offices days are normally 10 hour days with an required hour long motivational meeting. You are only paid commission on sales and spend almost 30 hours a week in office where you are not able to make sales so no money for that 30 hours! The other 36 hours that you are out trying to make sales you are putting miles on your vehicle with your gas chasing down appointments that no show you. You are not reimbursed for gas or anything! Loaned Commission only! 70+ hour work week, loaned commission that can be taken away or owed by you to them! High turn over rate with employees.

Pros

Great products, great philosophy, the opportunity to make substantial amount of money very quickly. Option to retire via lifetime renewals.

Cons

No paid training. "Required attendance" in office even though you are an independent contractor. 6 sometimes 7 days of work. No work/life balance. Very common for people to go weeks working without earning a dime. Management is guessing their way to solutions.

Pros

There are opportunities to earn some decent money, but the time, energy and cost to get there is usually not worth the trouble.

Cons

Hard to list them all, but I will list just the top few. The leads they say will be provided every week is more like 2 to 3 weeks. The leads are mostly old and not "warm" at all, between 25% to 30% or wrong or disconnected phones and wrong addresses. About 30% of the leads had already been approached just weeks ago by other agents making them upset about you calling them again. About 30% of them are just tired of us calling them every single year and can be pretty rude when you are just trying to do your job. The remaining few probably cannot afford it or do not have any bank or you just get lucky and find maybe one or two that actually need the insurance and can afford it. On top of all that, when you do make an appointment about 50% of the time, the client isn't home after you spent your time and money (gas) getting there and even if they call to cancel ahead of time with you, management wants you to go anyway and try to get in. I lasted over 4 months and the last 4 weeks I made absolutely nothing! I tried to follow their "system" and my failure to succeed was because I didn't follow their script, which may be true, but I found to be mostly untruths and lies in order to get in the door. I have a much higher standard in ethics and morals to work for them the way they want me to and in order to make what I need to make, I would have to become a manager and insist others under me to be unethical and lie which I will never do. Finally, I believe that the retention rate of their agents is less than 5%!!!! I saw so many people come and go week after week and the people who have been there more than me made less than $750 per week after working about 60 + hours per week.
