Pros

I enjoyed working at AIL. My mother has been employed by this company for over 20 years. I have been working here almost 7. It's a pleasant place to work. The pay is good for the area and everyone is friendly and as fair as they can be. At the end of my time there I was a salaried employee, but for the first 5 years I was hourly which meant I was a member of the union. They take the union very seriously there. I don't have too many complaints.

Cons

The main con I would say is there isn't a whole lot of room for advancement. Once you become a manager, there's not a whole lot more you can do.

Pros

I make six figures and I'm only 32. Residual income means I get paid thousands of dollars every month for policies I've written over the last 8 years and counting I LOVE our office environment. It's motivating and fun. We have partys, win trips, do sales competitions... It's like my second family. I also LOVE our clients. Working with union members on their benefits is actually fun and rewarding. It's NO COLD CALLING and getting paid a lot of money to help a lot of people. Also a big pro is that the company is so financially sound that it keeps growing every year and with that they keep paying us more bonuses! Lastly, the company really cares. They've earned a lot of awards for philanthropy internationally and even locally we sponsor food banks.

Cons

Work is nights and weekends. I don't mind but I'm sure it's not for everyone. As a manager, it's hard to find people as inspired and motivated as yourself when you're hiring You put a lot of miles on your car. The money's so good though I just buy myself a new one every 3 years or so.
