Pros

The compensation rates are the best around, but they don't have much else going for them.

Cons

When I saw the posting on craigslist, it said that it was salary plus commission. Come to find out, it's commission only. I was also led to believe that during training we would get a cut of the sales that my SA made, which I did not. I knew that I was responsible for paying for the training classes and my license exam and fee. Also, they lied about the amount of bonus I would receive for making sale. I made a 1500 ALP sale and I was supposed to earn a 17.5% bonus, as well as a $200 advance, which I did not get. They expect you to drive all over creation to drop off child safe kits (before you start getting paid) and the intensity of the training does not allow for you to have a job while you are training so you are literally using all the meager savings you have from your last job to get started on this one. I was told I would be reimbursed for gas when I first started, and I was never told how to go about doing that or given any sort of payment for the gas I was using before I started getting paid. They said that as soon as I was released I would get a packet of extremely hot leads to start with. I instead received a packet of leads that were 2 years old. They also want you to call people repeatedly on phone nights. My manager made me call people 10 times a piece. If they don't answer after the first 3 times, what makes anyone think they're going to answer after the 5th, 6th, or 7th time, never mind 10. And the people I did get a hold of said they had already met with a representative and weren't interested in hearing what I had to say. Those were the only leads I would get, and come to find out that I had to generate my own from the child safe kits and referrals. The areas they have you work out of tend to be really awful areas with high crime rates, and you're working at night, alone. They make you do drop bys, which essentially means that you are going to peoples houses unannounced in a terrible neighborhood ALONE. I went for this "opportunity" because they lied to bring me in. On the phone, they said it looked like I was a really good match for the company. I went in for an interview and there were 10 other people there. I was told that there are only 3 positions they are hiring for. When I completed my licensing exam and showed up for the training class, there were 12 people there. Do not fall for the lies that they will tell you to try to get you to work for them. When you call people to schedule an appointment to drop off their no cost Accidental Death and Dismemberment Certificate, or their no cost Child Safe ID kit, you are not allowed to mention to them that you also sell insurance. So while you're doing your presentation for the no cost benefits, you casually ease into a presentation about insurance. People don't like being swindling into buying something, and in my experience most of the people I've met with have seen through the facade and not wanted to buy anything, and this includes me trying to sell as well as seeing 2 other people sell. They tell you that you could win all this lavish trips to places, but half the time they set the standard so ridiculously high that it's next to impossible to even qualify for it. Everyone who works here seems incredibly fake, and I believe that they would easily stab someone in the back to get more sales. The greed is astounding. I am very sorry that I ever fell for this scam, and I sincerely hope that no one else does.

Pros

I can't think of a single Pro

Cons

This company is built on lies. If you manage to make it pass the training, which is completely ridiculous, you'll find yourself stuck waiting on a bunch of crappy leads in the poor side of town. This company will lie to you about literally every responsibility you will have before you start. The first lie they will tell you is they don't do "cold calling". Im telling you right now you sill spend at the minimum of 16 hours a week solely calling hundreds of numbers from leads that are over 2-3 years old minimum. The people that actually answer the phone will typically hang up on you because you are a telemarketer (AIL will tell you you aren't a telemarketer but you are). If you manage to actually get 3 to 4 sales calls for the following day be aware only 1 or 2 might actually be at the house. No one respects a salesman. Then out of those 1 or 2 if you actually manage to land a sale, which typically you may only get 1 a week, you might net $40.00 or you might get extremely lucky and net $900.00. In 2 months I had one sell get me $900.00 with only 1 or 2 others getting me around $35-40.00. Management will go over this whole pyramid scheme with you but refuse to admit its an actual pyramid scheme. They will boast about how they are making well over $80k/year but they all seem to look like they make under $25k /year. There's no reliable income in this job. While most other insurance companies do things through the web or by phone this is the only company I've worked for that actually requires you to drive to someones house and sit down in their living room to discuss insurance. It's overall odd because its not 1950. I can go on and on about the cons of this job. If you have a pretty face and are comfortable driving all over the metroplex to be told no several times a day then this is the job for you. If you want to be realistic and get a real job then I'd advise staying away from this place. Its an overall joke. For those of you that have already signed into this pyramid scheme be sure you get your $600 check from training. They love to promise money but they don't typically like to give it. I saw several others quit before receiving this check because they got sick of asking and dealing with the nonsense. This place is a scam. You can tell that from the reviews alone. The people submitting positive reviews are either management within the company or friends/relatives they told to submit a review.

Pros

None! Their products are horrible. You will call horrible leads. They train you just to make $$ off of you. I would give them 0 stars if I could!!!

Cons

I could write a 10 page paper on this!!! Liars: “you will make so much money”...do not believe the hype! Unless you are ready to tell people they are dumb if they do not buy life insurance, do not work here! Drawbacks: which most agencies will not tell you about in the interviews! If a policy is cancelled and you already got paid on it they will ask for your money back!!!! I resigned and 2 months later I get a statement in the mail saying that I owe them money they paid me!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!?! They have the nerve to ask you for money back that you were paid for!!! Micro-Managed!!!! 7 DAYS A WEEK= NO LIFE Treated horribly!!!!! THEY WANT YOU TO QUIT WITHIN 6 MONTHS!!! -Managers make more money if you quit the first 6 months because they get a higher percentage of your commissions!! THEY REEL YOU IN simply to make money off you before you quit!!!
