Pros

-The Owner & Staff are compassionate and laid-back people -You can bring your pet to work (Cute fur babies can help ease stress) -Supportive team members -Must have a sense of humor -Business Professional Attire in Field, Business Casual Attire in the Office -Potential to make lots of money & bonuses up front -They give you time to study and help you earn your State License -Ability to move up without waiting on someone else to retire or leave -Set your own appointments -Opportunity to network, and meet new people everyday -They'll have you in an area that's no more than 45 minutes from your home unless you request to go further. -In your daily email you send to your boss, you get to ask questions, share concerns confidentially. -They make sure you have a decent support system; this job isn't for everyone and can be very time consuming. -They are willing to take your family out to dinner to answer any questions your family members may have about the job. -Some days the boss will buy food for the office. -Friendly competitions and Rewards for winners (such as gas cards, shopping sprees, and gift cards). -Ability to get a great life insurance policy after 1 yr. of employment -After you've completed training boot-camp, SLEEP IN! Hours are 3 PM- 10 PM, 6 days a week. Overall, it's a decent place to work and a great way to start your CAREER in Sales/Insurance.

Cons

-Training is 12 hr. shifts for two weeks. You don't get paid for the first week. You get paid $600 at the end of the second week, if you pass your script check. -Commission Based-You must make a sale to get paid! (In the job post I applied for it stated a $68,000/Yr. Salary; That is NOT the case, this job is COMPLETELY Commission based pay! -It also stated in the job post that I was applying for a lead management position, not true, you are hired on as trainee and must work your way up to management. -Possibility of Charge Backs (Meaning you sold a policy but they canceled it within the first 6 months; now you must pay it back to the company what you made from that sale.) -Your trainer may not be as experienced and seasoned as you would want (For example, my trainer had only been working here for a few months.) -You are driving to your client's houses, not all clients are willing to give you the time of day, especially if you're door knocking at 8 o'clock at night. (Please if something doesn't feel right about a client/area LEAVE!) -Might want to invest in pepper spray, taser, concealed carry licensed if you're female for your own safety and peace of mind. (It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!) -You pay for your own gas and food when out in the field (No reimbursements for mileage, no designated lunch break times.) -You must have a laptop (They don't provide this for you though it's mandatory to have to work here.) -Last appointment time is 9-10 PM; some nights you will be out till 12-1 AM trying to complete a sale. -Work/Life Balance can be challenging, especially if you have other commitments, such as school, young children, etc.

What a Scam

Pros

Pros are that you do have the potential to make a lot of money and you do get hands on training

Cons

Cons are that you work 12 hours days and are still basically on call all the time, you have to use your own phone and your own laptop and you don't have an office, and then you're spending your own money to drive around a 50 mile radius in any direction to show up at clients doors who don't really want you there anyway. They say that there is no cold calling and that all of their leads are union workers and at first this feels true even as your dialing through 70 numbers before you can leave, but after angry person after angry person you get tired of it and realize that these leads didn't know what they were signing up for and they didn't know you'd be calling to try to show up to their house to sell them life insurance. Another con is that they only train you on one product. There are so many better life insurance products that you don't even get to sell. They give you your commission and then start immediately charging you for not having signatures that you didn't know you needed until underwriting looked over the policy and then you have to chase the policy owner at their home which could be an hour away just to hope they will actually be there to sign the document.

Pros

Apparently there are lots of opportunities for advancement, and lots of money to be made

Cons

The start up fees are ridiculous. And there is NOT paid training, everyone there is extremely nice don't get my wrong they made it enjoyable but if you don't have another source of steady income then this is not the job for you. It costed me $200 to get my insurance license and everything and then come to find out the 2 week rigorous training, you will not be paid for. The job requires HOURS OF DRIVING with no gas reimbursement. Idk to me it just seemed like I have too much to lose at this point, I couldn't risk getting paid ONLY commission when I have bills stacking up and a dwindling savings account. I hope this review saves some people some time and money, I wish I would've listened to everyone telling me not to dive into this
