Pros

There are no good things about AIL

Cons

You have to learn a script before you are allowed to sell. In the meantime, every Thursday we were required to make cold calls from 9am until 9pm with no pay. The leads were years old and we were trained to bait and switch. When I was finally passed to sell, I was assigned a territory. The area was an old farm area. Retired who owned their home and children grown. I explained this to my manager and he said push final expense. After 3 months of working for free, I sold one policy and it was charged back. I quit. Year later I joined a class action lawsuit against AIL

Pros

The pay is ok. I did get a raise fairly quickly. They send you the necessary equipment. The trainers (depending on who it is) are really great.

Cons

It’s a call center…you’re micromanaged, you can barely go take a bathroom break, the call volume is high & that 6 min AHT is ridiculous. The scripting is too long. It’s just not an enjoyable job. You’re basically an emotionless machine when you work there.
