Dishonest onboarding

Pros

You have a team for training support If your a hard salesman this may be the opposite for you.

Cons

Misleading job post, Posts as another company name, mislead saying there was paid training. Pay is also misleading. You do not get 50% commission on sales and you may get 60% in the life of the policy. You will be working 10-12 hrs to hopefully get leads to pick up the phone. Have to be very patient. I worked 10-12 days for 2 months with No pay and when paid for a sale was not the 50% commission per contract

Dishonest. MLM

Pros

If you have money saved up and have a passion for sales, this could work, but you are better off doing something else

Cons

Dishonest Cold leads Long hours No pay for training What a horror show this job was. In the interview process they made it seem like you would make 60K a year and there was no cold calling and making 3 sales per week was standard, oh how they lied. What this manipulative company does is make it seem like it’s easy to make sales by using the numbers of the top earners to try and wow you and convince you that you can make money too! You can go on all these trips too! The reality? Only about 5% of people are making the big bucks, and most people are making $200 over a month, making hundreds of calls a day trying to use scummy used car salesman tactics to sell people life insurance. Some of the leads they give you are free will kits that were filled out before COVID. Or child safe kits of people who just want an app to protect their kid and that’s it. Even if you make money here, you will have to pay back a good chunk of that, because when people cancel their policies or don’t pay them, YOU have to pay AIL back. It’s an MLM

DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

education on sales, Opportunity to build a business in a business.

Cons

Micromanagement! - I had truly some of the most unproffesional managers Ive ever worked with. From encouraging me to use slimy business tactics to make sales, to removing me from the team and placing me on a new team once I asked to work within the confines of my 1099 contract and not work full time, this company truly is terrible. My managers would call me all day even on weekends if I wasnt sitting on Zoom making calls to the infinite pool of reused leads Misleading - I was told Id be calling fresh leads and to leads that requested life insurance. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. Most of my leads were reused leads from other agents, many of them didn't request life insurance but were promised a free accidental policy, child saftey kit or a free will kit. A classic example of a bait and switch. Also, My managers would reprimand me for not selling to these leads while they were spending most of their time calling POS. PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAD COVERAGE, and were re selling insurance to them. What a FARCE. Hours- They tell you, that you have the ability to choose your own hours. But will call you endlessly if you actually want to do so. I worked for a year 9am to 9 pm. The minute I wanted to change my schedule I was transferred to a new less successful team. Encouraged to lie to make money - my management lied to many customers about their coverage and even falsified information to get them coverage, this is illegal. But there's very little regulation. Ultimately this job is a sales job. You can only really make money if you build a team with the company and encourage others to essentially replace you as the 9-9 sales agaent. while you make money off of their work. I did learn good business skills as it was my first sales job but I also learned just how terrible a company can be
