Pyramid Scheme

Pros

Nothing redeeming about this company.

Cons

Hynan Agency is a subsidiary of AIL which is a pyramid scheme where recruiters get paid for each head they recruit and you aggressively target underserved communities and middle income families for life insurance.

Thank you for your feedback. This AIL agent position does require a self-motivated, persistent and sales-minded individual to succeed and isn't for everyone. With the right person, this career can be incredibly rewarding financially and professionally. We wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Low level folks mean well and are trying hard, upper level folks are not to be trusted.

Cons

It's a pyramid scheme by another name. It's possible to make good money early, but it doesn't last, and charge-backs from client non-payment means your successes can and will be utterly negated. The only people that actually make money are upper management types, because they earn percentages from everything you (and 10, 30, or 200 people like you) produce. They will drain every bit of you and make sure you feel like you didn't put in the effort.

Pros

I really have no positive remarks for this company.

Cons

A genuine pyramid scheme. The job posting was titled as a "Benefits Coordinator" which led me to believe it involved HR. It was never brought to my attention that this was a life insurance company or a COMMISSION ONLY job. They offer no reimbursement for licensing or continuing education. There is no hourly base rate. You're working for free until you get "released" by the State General Agent. Also, they claim that there is no cold calling or door to door sales. This is another lie. The Correa Hunt Agency in Kansas City, MO has mandatory "call nights" and a call quota that you have to reach. Most of the so called leads do not want to set up an appointment. Most of the appointments don't even show. When I was in training, if you even want to call it that, I had two days of no show appointments with my trainer. You're required to have 8 appointments, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. So you're basically working from 8am-8pm. Making commission only. So again, you're working 60 hours a week for free. STAY CLEAR from this company if you want to earn a livable wage. If you live at home with your parents or have a spouse/significant other that is supporting your household, this might be a good fit for you. But still, you need to be comfortable with making little to nothing the three months that you work there.
