Pros

They have excellent training. They train you for a full week before they put you with another agent in the field.

Cons

In the hiring process they say that you are your own boss and work your own schedule. In reality you will work 6 days a week and about 12 to 14 hour days. You can make some money, but the leads are very old and they have been worked hard. The money you make averages over the hours you put in is about 2 dollars an hour. Not worth the time and energy. Only ones making money are the upper management since they get overrides off of every customer you sell and when you finally burn out they still keep their commissions monthly as long as the customer pays. You will get nothing when you leave, but it was your fault you didn't make it.

Bunch of Lies

Pros

I learned a good work ethic since the leads they promised to be good were terrible so it forced me to work hard on my own to make sales. Great concept with the market that they target and how to get appts with No Cost Benefits. Gives you some decent ideas that you can use elsewhere and make a a lot of money in the insurance business.

Cons

The high turnover ratio here doesn't fit well with everything that's promised that they fail to deliver on. A lot of hooray talks and motivational speeches but no real information or training is passed along so you're left hearing about old war stories and glory days of managers no longer in the field producing and out of touch with the challenges going on today with agents trying to sell that one product. The lies about bonuses which really aren't bonuses but advances that they are charging to your back end renewal money. The pressure and scare tactics that's used to make sells and the lies told to clients about this company prices are the best and the insurance this company offers to the senior market is ridiculous. They target young people with little insurance knowledge that won't know enough about the insurance industry to ask the right questions and know once you get past your 6 months with this company they want you to be in management so they can make money off of you by having you train people that will last no less than a month and take away from your personal production. Working long hours to make a lot of money sounds good until you find out about independent agents making more money and working less hours or not as late as you do here. I would never recommend anyone to work for the Weatherspoon Agencies or anyone other AIL company.

Pros

Room for growth is unreal. I have been promoted 2 times in less than 4 months. This is because I set the pace of where I want to be in my career. I'm not letting someone dictate how far I can move up, the only person stopping me would be myself. The coaching is true and genuine. Can it be tough at times, sure. How do you grow if you're not challenged? I love the atmosphere in the office as well. Positive individuals who want everyone to succeed.

Cons

This isn't for the weak minded. You have to have discipline and self motivation to do this job.
