Pros

It is possible to make a good paycheck once in a great while, if it isn't taken away by chargebacks, mods, etc. but you work 7 days a week in order to make money.

Cons

Too many to list....the "leads" get passed from 1 employee to the next to the point where people hang up when they hear where you are calling from....they are obsessed with you recruiting new hires because everyone quits, they tell you "flexible schedule" when they are hanging over you forcing you to schedule people til 10pm, empty promises from MGAs about pay. All the MGAs and above care about is their 6 month retention for employees because it hurts their commission if you quit before 6 months............if you make it a year, you get a 1000$ bonus. that goes to show you that less than 1% of all hires last a year. terrible terrible company.

Pros

Leads are provided. They give the poor people that they sell terrible policies to a turkey on thanksgiving, so thats something.

Cons

This is a multi level marketing (pyramid scam). This company preys on those just entering the job market or desperate for work. You will be asked to recruit as much as possible. The other part of the job involves cold calling union members that they deceived into getting their contact info, setting an appointment and then selling them a bad insurance policy that many can not afford. The policies are so bad that you legally cannot encourage clients to drop other coverage they may have and switch to AIL due to consumer protection laws. That should be a red flag.

Pros

My coworkers were kind. Not much else to say about management or the structure of this company.

Cons

Work-life balance was awful, with many agents that wished to do well in the business up before the sun and back home around midnight. On top of that, there is no hourly rate and the job is strictly commission. Leads were recycled and usually quite old, at times with the client or customer deceased for years. Most fresh leads were picked through by management and the remainder were given to new agents. Bonus systems were structured with a trickle down effect, where the higher ups gained the most off of the labor of newer agents. It was just awful. Much of my issue was with the Arlington office and it's management. If you hear the name Bob Wingate, run away. I would rather work two or three jobs where I know my work is paid for and appreciated as opposed to selling life insurance products that are easily blown out of the water by various other insurance companies.
