Pros

There is nothing positive about this company!

Cons

They expect you to work at 11 PM, midnight in areas that are unsafe. They say that are about helping union members and protecting children, but that is just how they get their foot in the door to push life insurance. During the interview process, you are told you get a $200 base salary but this in fact is a "bonus" after reaching certain numbers. They expect you to work 50-60 hours a week and if you don't get sales, you don't get a paycheck.

Pros

-Income potential -Training -some people make a lot of money

Cons

-Paid like a contractor, treated as an employee -forced to use misleading language to customers -Lied in the interview about how long the average person takes to be "released." you are in "training" for 6 weeks minimum (ive been here for 8 months and havent seen anyone do it faster). -part of training is useful sales training, the other half is free labor (calling their leads for 4+ hours straight, going door to door) -training is often 9-9, riding around in their car, doing their busy work while they see their clients The most misleading part that is overlooked in these reviews are the LEAD QUALITY. the job is presented that you will be supplied with enough leads to make a living, YOU ARENT. you will get a small amount of new leads every week, and then a bunch of filler leads, such as people who already said they werent interested. if I get 10 new leads for the week, 3-4 have been seen within the last year, 2 are the wrong address/phone number and 1-2 dont speak english/already know AIL and dont want anything to do with it etc. they expect you to generate all of your leads through referrals. people who have been there long enough, like I have, get good at it, but if you burn through your initial lead pack without getting enough referrals, you will never get another fresh stack of leads. BUT THEY EXPECT YOU TO STILL SEE 20 PEOPLE A WEEK (without giving you 20 decent leads)!!! so you have to sink or swim on referrals within your first 2-3 weeks or you will be spam calling the same 20 people for 10+ hours throughout the week... so even if you do make it, you are generating most of your business by yourself.... BUT they still treat you like an employee!! they make you come in 2+ times a week for "dispatch" and then another 2x week and stand over your shoulder while you call YOUR LEADS that YOU GOT YOURSELF. if you call them all, they make you go through over and over, from 4-9pm. they force you to do YOUR business with YOUR leads the way they want you to, and if you dont, then you only get filler leads. by the time they answer, they hate you because you are on them worse than a debt collector. then they call you multiple times a day asking for your results, and constantly down to you, like you work for them... WHICH ISNT SUPPOSED TO BE THE CASE. if they aren't paying you as an employee, they aren't supposed to be bugging you about a minimum amount of activity! If you are good at sales, there are better jobs than AIL, you end up generating your own leads so you might as well work somewhere where they treat you like your own boss. Only work here if you have no other choice
