      Same as every other company.

      Pros

      For the majority of my time with the company, it was good. Awesome people to work with. Occasional free meals, great health insurance, and excellent compensation.

      Cons

      But then came the micromanagement and calls for ‘efficiency’. Suddenly, nothing was ever good enough. It was impossible to work at a pace they were happy with. They had me train my own replacement who they ended up hiring as a contractor so they didn’t have to pay his health insurance costs. Management are all buddies. Everyone higher up was a referral. Whole families work here. And apparently, if you’re content to take your breaks at your desk, that’s frowned upon.

      Pros

      -All the responsibility -Full trust -Freedom to go big -IOT Product lines are pretty cool if you want to learn low power embedded products. -Time of innovation (2022)

      Cons

      -Raises suck (3-5% in Austin? COL is out of control here and I'm SURE that any new hire would get paid more than I do after being here 5+. that is -No bonuses. I asked my manager (Director) if there is a bonus structure for executives seperate from our only bonus program ("profit sharing ") , the answer was No. I don't believe it. -There was a drought of promotions across the company. then in a single email 4 directors got promoted to Sr Director. This is comical and demoralizing. So wack. -Raises are 3-5% in a great year. -Working all kinds of weekends and nights . no thank you's or "thanks". -Your manager will make or break your quality of life. Had ok one (that went wildly sour at the end) to a pretty good one now. -Shared salaries with co-workers and I'm getting ~20% less.
