Pros

A lot of the people who work here really do care about the mission and advocacy that the AMA encourages. People genuinely care about their work here and want to help each other. Overall a fairly collaborative and inclusive environment.

Cons

New CEO has shifted the culture here significantly. RTO happening despite many concerns and lack of organization. Several changes seem to be happening without much transparency or communication. Lots of turnover already beginning due to this. CEO seems to care about external appearances, but has done nothing for the benefit of the employees.

Hardworking people, good initiatives and a generally supportive working environment

Cons

Not a lot of opportunity for career advancement. Lots of changes under a new CEO leading to confusion about the mission and mistrust among employees.

Pros

being an employee at the AMA over a decade, I do not see a pro at this moment - working with some great colleagues within the business unit may be the only pro (and some of them are already leaving the organization - so basically, no pro).

Cons

The list will be too long, but I'd just say the current CEO (Dr. Whyte) has already made it one of the worst places to work - frustrating to witness what's going on.
