Pros

Paid "training". The premise is great, but, aside from the income for training, it fell short of preparing me to use the tools that were available. The manager checked me off as completed even though we'd never covered the training.

Cons

The training is primarily online. The real training is the last month where you learn to run quotes, however, the office I was in had no one who knew how to do a P&C Quote. I didnt get any quote training prior to going live as an agent. The hiring manager, after claiming he'd be there to help me learn the system, referred me to agents all over the territory to try to get quotes done. He was also out of the office 2 of my first 4 weeks as an active agent. I was sold on training and support....I brought the up front work, but without quotes there is no business to write.

Pros

flexible schedule , benefits half and half

Cons

high lapse, horrible pay. Good only if your lapse rate can be from 0 -10 percent and you can max out your commission credits!! Have to cheat to make a paycheck. Contract need redone. No win situation.
