Pros

They work 37.5 hours a week. That’s the only pro.

Cons

Management has no idea what they are doing and employees with more experience than they have are reprimanded when suggesting an idea. The company is being held back because instead of embracing outside perspectives, those ideas are dismissed. Instead, they put people in management positions who have no experience or expertise in their assigned practice areas and promote people who have backgrounds that are completely unrelated. They expect you to be a robot and sit at your desk all day. They record the length of your breaks, even though, by law, they are required to give you two 30 minutes breaks a day. Their “coaching sessions” are BS. They clearly don’t know the definition of the word “coaching”, but instead they provide you with a list of things they don’t like about you. (They don’t embrace outside personalities, but instead if you aren’t like them then you are out). They “coach” you and then reprimand you when behaviors haven’t changed 3 days later. This a completely no fun, all work zone. Personally, I felt victimized. They claim to be part of the “me too”, but only when it’s convenient for them. When called to HR, I felt completely uncomfortable by one of their male representatives. I was continually made fun of by co-workers, upper management and even a VP. I wouldn’t recommend that my worst enemy work there. Oh, wait, some of them do though...

Pros

Hours are nice. We get to wear jeans once a week. That's about it.

Cons

Expensive benefits. Company manages their own employees benefits and still charges more than competitors. Horrible raises. Most years you'll maybe get an extra 20 bucks a month but you're expected to work harder each year. Poor management. People at top don't listen and ignore everyone else. Hr is pointless. They're in the pocket of management and don't care about the individuals. Outside applicants get favor over internal candidates.

Pros

There are a number of talented employees who are generally good people working at ANICO. There are many long-tenured employees, which is overall a positive and a sign that many are generally satisfied here. With a few exceptions, even most of the senior leadership are decent people. Arrogance is not really part of the corporate culture here as it often is at large employers.

Cons

A number hard-working, talented employees leave out of frustration. There is very little thought or concern given to helping develop talent once it's in the door. Lower and middle level workers only advance in rare instances, regardless of effort or results. Initiative, drive and fresh ideas too often fall on deaf ears.
