Guests at Alpine were slightly snobby but American Pool has a large selection of pools and they can place you wherever you want

In 2009 I worked as a lifeguard for "Recreational Management Services (RMS)" which I believe is under the American Pool Enterprises umbrella of companies. They had an online schedule (swap board?) I could access and literally mark which days I wanted to work each week, and where. The system for keeping track of paid hours was done with a phone-in, making sure no valuable hours were unpaid.

Cons

Since I was the fill-in lifeguard guy I had to drive to a bunch of different locations. This was before I had a smartphone... pay could also be better, certification costs money too...

Pros

If you're ever just bored looking for some hours, there's a "swap board" which is online and you can either pick up extra shifts or get other people to take yours. You get very good hours, if you're looking to work a lot.

Cons

They consistently mess up paychecks, give an excessive amount of hours for very little pay, you have to practically babysit all the kids, and they always want you to fill in for someone on your day off, and when you say you can't work, they get upset.
