It’s Good Until It’s Not

Pros

Good amount of PTO Great Benefits Remote work is a plus Co workers make work more enjoyable

Cons

Hard to use all the PTO you accumulate because you have to find someone to cover for you when you’re out of the office. There are always layoffs due to restructuring of departments. You work way more than you should in order to complete all the work that needs to get done. Raises are just okay even when you’re a high performer. Managers play favorites. You will give everything you have to this organization because you believe in the American Red Cross mission but it will never be enough. It’s all about the numbers (even when you constantly exceed goals - it’s not enough), how many committees you join, how many extra projects you’re willing to do, and how much your manager likes you.
