Pros

Met some really nice coworkers.

Cons

Poorly staffed. Never know if you're going to get to leave at the end of your shift due to mandating. Management is too good to take a med cart. They'd rather let you work a double. Inadequate supplies, including appropriate tube feeding formulas and thickened liquids. Sometimes cnas dont even have washcloths to clean residents with. Management sweeps things under the rug and tries to cover things up. Cannot keep nurses. Corrupt! The place is going down fast.

Pros

Good coworkers. Good support from my corporate consultant. And of course all of the residents made the job what it is.

Cons

Staffing issues. I was a dept head in a non nursing dept but I still felt the issues. Micro managing ED. Lots of paper work for basic level of compliance and even then it's easy to fall behind because there's just so much!
