Pros

Good place to get corporate experience without a lot of pressure. The paid holidays are exceptional. It is a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Cons

The location is OK if you like to sit in traffic. Pay scale is not very good. Disconnect between departments.

Good people but difficult to get promoted

Pros

There are many great people who work here, most are at the entry level position but you create close relationships with those individuals. ASH offers great benefits such as health, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage. A health conscious company that walks the walk.

Cons

Promotions are very difficult to come by. If you are looking for an entry level position with no advancement, than this is the place to be. There is a lot of favoritism and politics that rival a small 100 or less company. ASH is more focus on itself than it is on its employees. Communication between departments is horrible. This company could work much more efficiently but management does not listen to its employees.

Pros

My co-workers are the best and easy to get along with. I did move up in the company and there is room for advancement. My team is like my family, we would do anything for each other. Most of the supervisors in the PVS dept are really good caring people.

Cons

The Director has hired some inexperienced people and unqualified people as supervisors. Management of the PVS dept is on a power trip and believes the reps that are on the frontline taking calls are beneth them. Management has been known to say that the reps on the phone do not have the same mind set as them. The Director has also said she doesn't care about anything except for upper management getting his or her bonuses. Supervisors- the newest training supervisor is the most inexperienced and unqualified ones. He only cares about making himself look good at the expense of his team. He is always worried about what everybody else is doing instead of focusing on what he should be doing. Projects are put off or assigned at the last minute to others, then he takes credit. Many people have complained about this supervisor and still nothing has been done. Systems- The systems at ASH are from 1975 and need to be updated. The company needs a dept who watches the queques and runs reports, instead of putting it off on the supervisors who already have some many responsibilites. Pay- ASH pays their reps and supervisors alot less than other call centers and expects so much more work. Benefits-The benefit fees continue to go up every year and the increase is put on the employee. Inconsistencies- Nobody is on the same page on anything, there are way too many inconsistencies, and this is not important to management because it gets worse everyday. The inconsistencies are a disservice to the reps taking the calls, providers offices, and members calling in. There is a reason employees are jumping ship, they are looking for better management, respect, and an environment that does not feel like a high school popularity contest.
