      Pros

      I have worked at American Trim for over 30 years. I started out working in the factory and thanks to our tuition reimbursement program, I have been able to further my education and have been able to move into a salary role with the company. The people at all of the plants are like family to me.

      Cons

      Because the people are like family, sometimes you have to put up with the "crazy uncle".

      Great Company with Great Core Values

      Pros

      American Trim is a company that is not afraid to change with existing market conditions. I have never worked with a company that places as much emphasis on training as American Trim. The safety of it's employees is one of the core values. American Trim also looks to employees to help improve the processes. The people are what make it such a good place to work.

      Cons

      The plant is not air conditioned and can get very hot in the summer.

      Assembler / powder coating

      Pros

      40+ hours in 4 days,10 to 12 hour days, so work 4 off 3. But if the 5th day is offered overtime its time and a half

      Cons

      HOT, VERY HOT, LOUD, VERY LOUD, must wear all PPE eye wear, ear plugs, hats, aprons. 10 to 11 hours and only 3 15 min breaks. Fast FAST pace. I've worked there over a year and a new employee started at the same pay as I'm making and she can not do 1/3 of the jobs I can do. Not fair or pay based on skills.
