-It’s a great place to work…….unless you’re a white heterosexual Christian male above 40. -The company fails to or refuses to recognize good talent and institutional knowledge and would rather promote or hire people based on their racial or gender identity. -The company has a major issue with integrity, ethics, and values. Day in and day out, they will push “doing the right thing” and diversity and inclusivity, but at the end of the day they’ll do or have done things such as: ——Hire or promote or refuse to hire or promote someone based on their race or gender identity. ——Promote racism and divisenessb under the euphemism “Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity” IDE training often relies upon using disgusting and bigoted terms like “privilege.” ——During a large scale reorganization five years ago, 50-60 people were let go. 95% of those people were white, 90% of them were male, and 85% of them were over 40. They were replaced by Indian graduate students on H1B visas on the primary basis of their race and age. ——Continuing on the last touchpoint, the Indian executive in charge of that effort utilized the services of two Indian staffing agencies in which he had a direct stake (conflict of interest), and who blatantly abused the H1B visa program, both of which the company “looked the other way” on. ——The company did nothing to correct or stop abusive and/or racist behavior of many of these H1B workers. One notable management level female employee of Indian descent stating out loud that “old white people don’t do what you tell them to do.” ——Lying to Regulated state-level leadership about ratepayer funds diverted from things such as main replacements, and using those funds to finance expensive junkets, pool tables, ping-pong tables, video game consoles, espresso machines, fancy catered lunches, and most notably, a metering app which cost $6 million and ended up being useless. -The company claims that we have to “look for savings,” while it pads its executive boards with 1-2 deputies per executive and funds low-level bigotry and racism under the guise of “Diversity & Inclusion.” -The corporate headquarters is a toxic environment. -The company chose to build in Camden for tax breaks, with one of the promises made to the city being to hire a certain number of city residents. The corporate headquarters has been open for 5 years and there are few to no Camden residents, especially minorities, working in STEM-related professions with the company. They’re all working in support roles, such as janitorial, security, and food service……but hey; let’s go take pictures in front of a Camden school while holding up an American Water sign to say “Look what a good neighbor we are!”
