Pros

Pay is decent, there are some nice people working there.

Cons

Management does not understand what is going on throughout the company other than sales. They run the company as a complete dictatorship. There is no internal structure or career path opportunities. Many of the workers are expected to work overtime most of their careers with little compensation or bonuses. No loyalty to long term employees.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are surprised to read this as this goes against all of our values and what we strive to be here at Americaneagle.com. Our employees make this company what it is today. We appreciate everyone’s passion and pride in their work. In 2020, we had a 90% retention rate, which we are very proud of. We are proud to have a large number of employees who have worked here 5-10-15-20+ years. Through our steady growth over the years, we are uniquely positioned to offer amazing growth opportunities to our employees. Rather than forcing people through rigid, cookie-cutter career paths, we focus on getting our people into positions that play off their individual strengths and what they enjoy working on. That usually leads to a win-win situation - happy employee leading to happy customers. We are sorry you feel that it didn’t work out for you here after working here 15+ years. We wish you good luck going forward.

We are sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your time with the team at Americaneagle.com and wish you the best in the future. There is compensation for the 1 week a year we ask employees to be on call. Employees are rewarded with additional PTO and they are always able to switch that week with someone else if it doesn’t work with their schedule. We continue to improve our benefits package over time and feel that it has significantly improved over the recent years. There are annual reviews where raises are given based on performance. We have health, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long term disability, 401k match, PTO, transit benefits and fun annual company events! We also have flex time which allows employees to have a flexible schedule for a great work life balance. We are a family owned and operated run business and have been for over 20 years. Americaneagle.com is a very friendly environment where everyone is welcome.

Pros

good programming exercise if you get lucky exposure to the clients pretty solid development patterns & practices work there only if you're fresh out of college and you need 2-3 years of experience on your resume

Cons

sweatshop underpaid management can't keep the word they gave (even the one in writing) poor benefits micromanagement - most of people are on salary, but still you have to put every 5 minutes on your timecards. yes they have clock-in, clock-out. it's big deal when you late, but no one cares when you stay 'till midnight (no overtime of course) every few months they hire new "star" which usually ends up in bigger mess minimal chances to get promoted raises are minimal (if any), and probably you won't get any bonus
