Pros

Paid on time, met some great people, and the company now offers a 401k match.

Cons

The statement “We either need more candidate starts or less recruiters” recently appeared in our team meeting deck. It seems that management may be trying to reduce their workforce in ways that aren’t traditional layoffs. Recruiters are ranked by a tier system and 12 of 18 employees are currently “below the company goal.” Only 6 are meeting the company goal- most of them being recruiting managers. If 66% of the team isn’t meeting the company goal, maybe this isn’t a reflection of the employee’s effort, but management not setting realistic goals or they’re creating a req distribution system that’s not advantageous for everyone. Complaints are often not addressed and management fosters blame culture, citing employees simply aren’t working hard enough. Performance improvement plans are often threatened and will be used as a tool for employee removal. There’s also been a stark reduction in perks and benefits (for example, cutting back on bonus incentives that factor into the employee’s overall compensation). Beware of constructive discharge tactics at this company.

Pros

Nothing short but a large helpful experience, the company as a whole is showing a huge dedication for supporting your needs and goals. I really feel like nothing will be out of my reach while working with this company, this does feel like my "Forever Home" company.

Cons

There was a little bit of a hassle to get the paperwork done and background checks completed. A little lengthy of a process. There was also a couple extra steps that caught me off guard.

To offer some context - while your position may not typically require a DOT medical certificate, in this case, the need came up because our customer vehicles used during test drives exceed 10,000 lbs. This weight classification requires a valid medical certificate, even for non-DOT drivers, to remain compliant with federal regulations. You’re right that maintaining a valid certificate can feel stressful, especially when health factors are involved. We recognize that not everything is within our control, but please know we’re here to support you however we can. You did successfully obtain the certification during onboarding, and we appreciate your efforts to stay compliant.
