Toxic Culture; Leadership Out of Touch

Pros

Flexibility is about the only pro

Cons

From my perspective, the company appears poorly managed. Leadership decisions feel disconnected from employees. Spending on internal manager events (including giving away a truck) contrasts sharply with a large round of layoffs following. There is also a cliquish work culture that frequently centers around alcohol, which I personally find toxic and unprofessional.

Pros

for self motivated techs. Decent life work balance. Paid weekly.

Cons

Manipulated time cards. Assign too much work at times. Revolving management. No bonuses. Working for some customers who were abusive. Management do things that clearly violate company policies.

Pros

Typical corporate benefits, work at your pace, paycheck always on time.

Cons

Largest problem is there is ZERO room for growth. It's one of those situations where you don't know the truth until you are already in. Being stuck on a bad shift you weren't hired for because a team member decides to take a month off for reasons against company policy and then is allowed to come back because they didn't want to fill their spot. No oversight for bad employees, no punishment for team members dragging down the crew, management is more worried about numbers on a screen than they are about things that go on in the shop day to day. Supervisor would punish and gripe at every employee when something went wrong and wouldn't address the person individually who did whatever it was. Lack of communication, micromanagement, paranoid leadership. It was also like talking to a wall when trying to accomplish anything. Being hired by a Supervisor who was fired before you physically started the position only to find out they made major mistakes and was stuck in my agreement for a year. Reviews are yearly ONLY (even though I was told otherwise upon hire), raises are cents on the dollar for skilled work. Major favoritism.
