There are no pros to working here except it is a paycheck every two weeks. That's it! It's a check.

Terrible management, they do not care about you as a person. You are only a worker not human at all.

Ameritas offers a pretty decent benefits package--affordable health insurance, 401(k), short term incentive plan, time off, etc. They also do a lot of great work within the community.

Cons

Ameritas is very behind the times compared to other major employers in Lincoln. They seem to be using the same practices from twenty years ago rather than being forward thinkers and planning for the future. There's a lot of talk about changes but no action. Rumor has it the company is switching from Lotus Notes to Outlook, but that has been circulating for the past five years. I can't think of any reputable, cutting edge company that still uses Lotus Notes. It's very much a culture of titles. Some officers and senior leaders (not all) have their noses in the air and are more focused on their next conference call rather than getting to know their team.
