Pros
I was fortunate to be apart of a really good team that helped each other and worked well together. The training was excellent and I still reference their teachings. Having Amgen on my resume has continued to help get in the door with other companies. Excellent benefits: winter and summer shut down (2.5 weeks total), generous PTO, excellent healthcare at a low cost to employees, matching 401k (5%), car for reps with free gas (even for personal use), ipad / laptop / home office set up (monitor & printer).
Cons
As with all other pharma / biotech companies right now, it's a volatile market, so there are constant changes and layoffs. I never fully felt comfortable having my job and add on the scare of Federal compliance and regulations and there is the unavoidable fear that you may loose your job for an honest mistake.
