Excellent learning opportunity - you learn various ASTM methods and become proficient in working with different instruments The starting wage is above average Reasonable management in regard to personal requests

Cons

Zero work-life balance - I worked 12 days to get 2 days off. Often you are on-call 24/7 You work holidays for no bonus pay The management is very greedy with overtime Minimal opportunities for career growth - the lab is too small and has too few people High turnover of workers - people are overworked and underappreciated Unless you ask for a pay raise and threaten that you leave, you are not getting one
