      Pros

      Small Travel perks. Iconic company. Good employees with long tenure. Customers are friendly and love the railroad. Great opportunity for those who have no gone to college.

      Cons

      Lack of culture, diversity or management appreciation. Sub-par benefits. Us and Them mentality with union vs. management employees. Need some new blood to rejuvenate the brand.

      Pros

      Able to interact and enhance the customer experience. Free train travel for employees and immediate family. Great health, vision, and dental coverage for union employees.

      Cons

      Job placement is based on seniority. Crazy work schedule unless you have enough seniority to hold a regular schedule. Forget about having weekends off unless you have more than 20 years seniority. Company does not match 401k contribution for union employees. Minimal room for growth. Management is very disconnected from front line employees. Forget about leaving on time if trains are delayed. Divorce rate is high in this industry.
