      Self-employment with ability to set and adapt work hours and work environment.

      Cons

      Required to adhere to company protocol and strict social-connection norms by committing to one grouping of Amway ‘upline’ despite the fact that it’s supposed to be YOUR own personal business). Required to attend expensive weekend ‘motivational’ retreat weekends. Required to recruit other IBOs (Independent Business Owners) to work as your ‘downline’. Success is based on how much you buy of Amway products, how many downline you recruit, and well your downline buys and recruits.

      Pros

      Good pay & benefits. Bonus.

      Cons

      No regard for long-term employees, as they are dismissive. One wonders if the owners know how their departments act towards treatment of long-term employees. Work/life balance is more talk than action. The label of a "sweat shop" is being earned.

      Pros

      Good salary and benefit especially if you are a expat. Business model is firm and sustainable.

      Cons

      Very bad reputation from general public in any countries except China. You cannot tell your friends and new business friends where you work.
