Pros

Great Benefits- Owners are wonderful people, who really care about their people and the food they produce, unfortunately they are disconnected from the reality of who is running their company.

Cons

Overworked and underpaid. A lot of change in a very short period of time. They choose to hire from outside the company (at a much higher rate than current employees) rather than promoting from within. The best managers within the sales and marketing dept have left the company - now those areas are being managed by people who are new to the organization or people who should not be in positions managing people - they play favorites.

Pros

Health benefits are really good and cover a lot. Many lovely people work there and there is a laid back environment where you can stop working when you leave the office.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy and office politics to deal with. They spend a lot of time talking about values and ideals that aren't really lived up to. The company as a whole is diverse, but some departments have no female or minority managers, creating an odd culture within them. There is a huge lack of communication between different parts of the company.
