Semi competitive landscape has changed the industry, and while the company has adapted very well to the changes, in order to remain profitable there is much less focus on R&D and forward looking innovation, and more focus on the bottom line. Tends to make the corporate environment much less pleasant....more meetings, less work. Scramble for work on the best projects, etc. Still plenty of opportunity for individuals.

Lots of layoffs Constant restructuring Senior Management only focused on near term shareholder value without any vision. No investment or desire to hire/keep engineers or treat them with respect.
