No future for engineers

Pros

When engineering was led by Bernie Gordon, the company and its engineers prospered. I worked at Analogic for nearly 25 years.

Cons

When CEO Green took over, the company fired everyone who was over the age of 63 and started to run the company quarter-to-quarter like the stockholders wanted. This was to maximize their return-on-investment quarter-to-quarter with no future prespective.

Pros

State of the art for EE design, data acquision systems. Challenging complex systems are engineered, like a CT complete machines or subsystems

Cons

Weak ME and SW designers. Very extensive and mostly ignorant middle management layer. As a result, decisions are made by "political" reasons, not technical. This kills any desire to innovate.

Cons

The company is full of people that have worked at the company for minimum 15+ years so very few young people at the company. There has been a huge brain drain in the IT dept mgmt can't handle day-to-day IT operations Dept is blatantly racist, especially mgmt - treatment of minority workers in IT dept was very unprofessional and discriminatory They don't like "new blood" since dept is all people with 20+ years experience
